STRIKE PRESENCE brings together Vincent de Roder and Gonzalo Reyes-Araos in a vital tension between the material gesture and distant presence. 

In one, the body insists — it leaves a mark, it resists erasure. In the other, presence flows through signals and networks, translated and displaced. The title strikes like an action: it asserts presence as a collision with reality. Each work becomes the residue of that impact — a way of holding onto existence in a world that endlessly dissolves appearances. 

Vincent de Roder works with surfaces as fields of inscription: painting, imprint, or sculptural gesture, his works reveal the weight of time embedded in matter. Drips and surface accidents are not erased but embraced — error is accepted, made visible, integrated into the process. It becomes the signature of truth, the persistence of breath in matter. 

Gonzalo Reyes-Araos, in turn, explores forms of connected presence — invisible yet enduring — through light, waves, and digital systems. In his paper collages, fragments sometimes detach or leave open voids: these deliberate absences are spaces of resonance, where the gaze can rest or wander. They embody a fragile, discontinuous sense of presence, built from gaps and intervals. 

Between them unfolds a magnetic dialogue: trace and signal, gravity and vibration. 

STRIKE PRESENCE stages this moment of contact — the instant when presence, whether physical or virtual, becomes an act of resistance and awareness.
